Playhybrid was created in the summer of 2014. The company was founded by artists and developers from Dreamworks and Disney Animation. We just wanted to make amazing interactive experience that people would follow weekly just like TV shows. To do so, we would create a new kind of entertainment company.
“What if you put together a games company the way you’d put together a professional sports team?” In that type of model, the sole mission of the founders and management would be to acquire the best talent FOR EVERY SINGLE POSITION, create the best possible environment for them, and then get out of the way. It would be an environment with zero bureaucracy. A place where the best people could make the biggest possible impact and nothing would stand in their way.
We’re on a quest: bring our dreams to life and craft the most epic entertainment experiences, ever. Hard work, iteration and polish go into the Playhybrid “secret recipe,” but the most important ingredients come from talented people who share our vision. If that sounds like you, join us.
Behind every great leader is an equally great administrator. Whether it’s providing support to leadership, game teams, or various groups within the company, Playhybrid admins keep the studio forging ahead. Their responsibilities are wide-reaching, and their jack-of-all-trades mentality makes them worth their weight in gold.
We’re looking for talented people who have a strong creative vision and a desire to wield mighty artistic weaponry in their pursuit of perfection!
Playhybrid software engineers create and support the advanced infrastructure that allows us to craft the worlds of our games. They distill complex code into straightforward processes that help create content more efficiently and enable increasingly impressive games. Good engineering is all about empowerment—empowering all of Playhybrid to tackle huge challenges with the proper tools.
Producers help align the diverse skill sets of our content creators, and monitor complex efforts that span multiple regions across the globe. A producer’s primary goal is to keep fellow team members free of impediments that could impair their work. Playhybrid producers aren’t “in charge”—instead, armed with project management tools, tremendous empathy, and team-wide communication, they’re the life-saving handhold in the hurricane of game development. Producers make sure no stone is left unturned, no checklist is left ignored, no deadline is missed or rushed.
